“You guys can’t do anything anyway because I am just a juvenile”

Police were called a to a local neighborhood because three teenagers were allegedly operating mopeds under the influence.

Police arrived and found the girl sitting in front of one driver. Another teenager was uprooting the other moped.

As the officers approached the three, they were actually flagged down by the girl. She asked the officer for directions. Right away the officer noticed slurred speech and an odor of alcohol on her breath, the report said.

She had bloodshot eyes and was unsteady on her feet as well.

The girl told police they had just left a friend’s house in the neighborhood and were heading back to Highway 41. When asked if she had fallen off the moped she told officers she had not and that she was fine.

The driver of the moped was asked for his license and he said he did not have it with him. Later in the conversation he admitted that he didn’t have one at all, only an ID.

But he added that the person he bought the moped from told him he did not need a license to operate it.

The girl was then asked what she had to drink that day, and she said she only had a beverage with three percent alcohol in it.

She then became irate with police, according to their report, when asked questions about where and when she had been drinking. She told them, “You guys can’t do anything anyway because I am just a juvenile.”

However, she was shown rather quickly, that yes, yes they could.

She was handcuffed and taken into custody for public intoxication.

The report said the woman was soaking wet and had no shoes on. And once put into the back of the patrol car she started kicking the doors and the windows.

She was screaming and swearing at officers and said she was going to “piss all over the back of the car.”

Both boys were given tickets for operating the mopeds without a license and proper insurance.

They were allowed to walk the mopeds to a nearby friend’s and leave them there.

While taking the girl to jail, the report said she went back and forth between crying and being extremely aggressive and belligerent with officers.
