Learning field trip

A group of students from Laign Middle School visited Cummins Engine. The trip was sponsored by Charleston County’s CTE (Career Technology Education) Department. Cummins Engine sponsored groups of 20 high school and middle school engineering students to pair off and work together. Engineers from Cummins worked with the groups during the day and talked about engineering as a job as well as college course work.The Lego model that students worked on is the newest Cummins engine. It is 95 liter, 4000 horsepower, V16 engine.
