The Wando DECA business chapter leaders attended a seminar hosted by Mediterranean Shipping Lines at their offices in Mount Pleasant. The event was hosted by Ryan Todd, export traffic manager of MSC.

Students learned about the size and scope of MSC shipping logistics and the international reach that MSC provides through the Port of Charleston. DECA leaders Nicholas Richardson, Greg Corbishly, Annie Farley and Luke Varadi will take their knowledge back to the 300 DECA members at Wando for use in upcoming business competitions.

Kirk Beilke, Wando Marketing teacher and DECA advisor states, “Mr. Todd and MSC are very gracious to include our members in their professional development seminar. MSC stewardship and outreach to our students is invaluable as Charleston grows into a its role as a international logistics leader.”
