Thousands line street for parade

Former Mayor Billy Swails was the Grand Marshall of the 18th annual Town of Mount Pleasant Christmas Light Parade.


Thousands of residents and visitors gathered along Coleman Boulevard on Sunday to enjoy more than 100 floats and several marching bands in the 18th annual Town of Mount Pleasant Christmas Light Parade.

The fun began with a tree lighting and fireworks display at Moultrie Middle School.

This year’s Grand Marshal was former Mayor Billy Swails, and the judging of the floats was by the WEZL morning crew, TJ Phillips, Ric Rush and Ashleigh Pash.
