The Palmetto Christian Eagles snapped a two-game skid with a 71-32 trouncing of the Lowcountry Wildcats Thursday at home.

Palmetto Christian (3-6) needed its starters for less than 10 minutes to pick up its second home win. The Eagles opened the game on a 7-0 run and shot 82 percent from the field in the first quarter. Defensively, they shut down the Wildcats most of the night, grabbing 21 steals and blocking three shots. By halftime, Palmetto Christian had built a 51-17 lead, comfortable enough for head coach Brian Stanley to send his reserves in to seal the win.

Chris DeMarco led all scorers with 16 points and three steals. DeMarco was 5-of-5 from inside the three-point arc and missed just one attempt from long range.

Isaiah McGrew turned in 10 points and two steals, while Mitch Hogan added nine points, three rebounds and three steals. Nine different Eagles scored at least five points Thursday. Eagles point guard J.T. Waters handed out 10 assists all in the first half and Tommy Gunn pulled down a team-high 12 rebounds.

Lowcountry (1-5) scored 11 points in the first quarter but was limited to less than 10 in each of the final three. Josh Dale led the Wildcats with eight points, Caleb Byerly scored seven and Austin Olszewski added 6.
