Each week, the Moultrie News and the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department will feature local cross country athletes participating in the department.
Guy Johnson, 8, and Berklie Duffy, 10, both run with the Mount Pleasant Track Club.
Question: If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be?
Guy Johnson: Lionel Messi

Q: What is your favorite Mount Pleasant restaurant?
GJ: Kickin' Chicken
BD: Mellow Mushroom
Q: What is the best moment in your athletic career?
GJ: When I heard I made it to Nationals.
BD: Going to Nationals.
Q: What is the best advice you have gotten from a coach?
GJ: To let your teammates pull you, even if you think they are much better.
BD: Be nice and give compliments to other athletes.
Q: What do you look forward to the most about being an adult?
GJ: Trying to get a job as a professional runner.
BD: Telling people what to do.
Q: What do you think are the most difficult and most fun aspects of cross country?
GJ: I think the hardest thing in cross country is to keep going, and the most fun is you are not running in a circle and the harder you run the faster you are done.
BD: Sometimes practice can be hard. I like running the meets.
Q: What is your movie and TV show?
GJ: Harry Potter and America's Funniest Home Videos

Q: If you could have dinner with any three people who would you choose?
GJ: I would choose Steve Prefontaine, Usain Bolt and Lionel Messi.
