The Trident Technical College Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development announces the hiring of Stanley Johnson as the recertification lab manager. Johnson is responsible for managing and leading recertification activities at Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner production facility in North Charleston.

“Stanley brings a wide range of aviation maintenance experience to the job,” said Bob Walker, TTC’s vice president for Continuing Education and Economic Development. “His technical expertise and demonstrated leadership skills made him a perfect fit for this critical position.”

Johnson earned a bachelor’s degree in technical management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and two aviation-related associate degrees in applied science from The Air University. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2011 after serving his last assignment as maintenance squadron superintendent at Joint Base Charleston. His duties included coordinating maintenance efforts of 450 active duty, reserve and civilian personnel who maintain the fleet of C-17 aircraft. Since retiring from the Air Force, Johnson has worked as the lead sealant instructor for readySC where he trained Boeing new-hire production personnel in sealant techniques used in the manufacture of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. He was also responsible for readySC’s team of sealant instructors.
