Bishop England falls in second round of Lake Marion Invitational

The Bishop England Bishops fell 55-41 to the Stratford Knights in the second round of the Lake Marion Invitational Friday in Santee, S.C.

Bishop England (6-4) held a one-point advantage at halftime but was shutout in the third quarter while Stratford (9-2) opened a 10-point lead.

Dillon Corbett led Bishop England with 14 points to go with seven rebounds. Taylor Howell added nine points and four steals, and B.J. Grevey turned in eight points and five rebounds.

The Bishops shot 46 percent from inside the three-point arc but connected on just 28 percent from outside.

Saturday, Bishop England will play a consolation game against Berkeley at 2:30 p.m. in the final day of the tournament. B.E. 18 10 0 13 Stratford 16 11 11 17 //
