The Crabpot Players is holding a fundraiser and musical revue to raise money for their permanent performance space on Jan. 2 at 6 p.m. The event will be hosted by The Windjammer on Isle of Palms.
The event is a fundraiser to help pay for the space in Mount Pleasant at 1119 Johnnie Dodds Blvd., next to the Kickin’ Chicken.
“We are approaching our 21st Season and have finally found a permanent space in Mount Pleasant for Crabpot to perform as well as offer classes and camps. We need to raise money through our capital funds project to be able to secure the space,” said Jimmy Ward, founder and artistic director.
The “Pennies from Heaven” event is an night of live jazz and a musical revue from the 1920s – 1940s featuring an ensemble of professional vocalists accompanied the Joe Clarke Quartet and Crabpot Players’ performers.
Guests can feast on all-you-can-eat local oysters and BBQ while browsing the silent auction. Tickets are $30 Individual, $50 Couple and $10 Child – all ticket purchases are tax deductible. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.showclix.com/event/crabpotplayers2014.
