CrossFit Mount Pleasant will host a movement and mobility trainer course Jan. 17 at its Park West location for anyone interested in developing as a high-intensity exercise trainer.
The one-day seminar will be led by Dr. Danny Matta, founder of Athletes’ Potential, a physical therapy and human performance practice that specializes in training CrossFit and endurance athletes in and around Atlanta. Matta is a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist and certified strength and conditioning specialist.
The training course is designed to help improve force production, increase work outputs, avoid common and preventable movement dysfunction and injury, understand how to address simple performance related myo-fascial and joint-mobility issues and improve understanding of key anatomical elements related to functional movement.
There are no prerequisites and seminar is open to athletes of all skill levels. Each participant will receive an attendance certificate. Participants who already have a crossfit level 1 trainer certificate will receive a trainer certificate for the movement and mobility trainer course.
The seminar will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The fee is $349 and athletes can register online at www.regonline.com/MobMtPleasantSCJan2014.
