The Wando Warriors boys team and Bishop England Lady Bishops earned a year's worth of bragging rights in Mount Pleasant Saturday as both picked up wins to secure the season sweep of the rivalry matchup.
Bishop England Lady Bishops 65, Wando Lady Warriors 35
The Lady Bishops (12-1) dominated early, allowing Wando (5-10) just a one made field goal in the first quarter while they opened a 17-3 lead built off an 11-point effort from Michele Boykin.
Wando recovered defensively to limit Bishop England to 10 points in the second quarter, six from Boykin. But the Bishops returned with their starters in the second half to stretch open a 26-point lead through the third quarter.
Boykin finished with a game-high 23 points with eight rebounds and six steals. Mary Harriet Moore added 17 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Hannah Corbett scored eight points, all in the fourth quarter, and Anna Penninger gathered eight rebounds with three assists.
Dynasty Heyward led Wando with nine points, Tatyana Alston scored eight. Bishop England limited Wando to just 28 percent shooting from the field and forced 21 steals.

Wando's smothering defense was the difference in the boys game as the Warriors held Bishop England to its second-lowest point total of the season.
Taylor Majewski, Amp Moore and Jamez Rogers each knocked down threes and scored five points in the first quarter to boost Wando (13-3) to a nine-point lead after the opening frame.
Wando then turned up its defense, holding Bishop England (7-7) without a made field goal in the second quarter. Andrew Glover scored seven of Wando's 11 points in the quarter to help build a 32-14 lead heading into halftime.
The Warriors connected on three more threes in the third quarter and had seven players score at least two points as they secured a 30-point lead.
Moore finished with 11 points, Trevor Behrens and Glover nine, and Rogers, Alex Terrell and Majewski each added seven.
Dillion Corbett led all scorers with 13 for Bishop England. Taylor Howell added seven. Thomas Hanahan and Robert Butler both scored five. Follow @fjmansfield //
