A 17 year old kid went into a local department store and shoved a blouse and a purse into her handbag and tried to leave without paying for it. However, the security cameras caught her actions and she was apprehended before she could leave.

The police were called and she was questioned. According to the incident report, she said she stole the items so she could have a nice gift to give to her step-mother.

She got a gift of her own in the form of a shoplifting charge and a court date.
