Double the snow, double the fun at Winterfest!

The forecast for Jan. 25 is calling for snow at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina’s Winterfest from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lookout Pavilion. This exciting community day will feature 50 tons of snow, three play areas, two sledding slides, a snowboard rail jam, live music, jump castles and corn hole!

Children will be able to have photos taken with their favorite Star Wars characters who will be mingling through the crowd. The Mount Pleasant Fire Department’s trucks and smoke house will be on display.

Entertainment will include live music by Head Rush, the Jimmies, Late for Dinner, Jamison Alley and Groove Train. In addition, the 3rd Annual Carolina Children’s Charity Corn Hole Tournament will be held. Registration forms are available at www.carolinachildren.org. Food and beverage will be sold by the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina.

Admission is $5 for Mount Pleasant residents (must show valid license at the entrance) and $10 for non-residents. Kids under the age of 12 are free.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Carolina Children’s Charity. The event is sponsored by the Town of Mount Pleasant Fire Department and the Town of Mount Pleasant Police Department, the Charleston Harbor Fish House, the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, 98 Rock, and 105.5 The Bridge.
