Red Cross assists five

The American Red Cross assisted five individuals who were displaced by a home fire this evening at 221 Six Street in Mount Pleasant.

The Red Cross provided financial assistance for lodging, food and clothing. The Red Cross also provided comfort kits containing hygiene products and referrals to partnering agencies for long-term recovery assistance.

The American Red Cross Palmetto SC Region has assisted more than 2,700 individuals who have been affected by disaster since July 1, 2013.
