The Bishop England Lady Bishops sit atop Class 2A basketball, while the Wando boys climbed one spot to No. 3 in Class 4A, according to the latest S.C. Basketball Coaches Association poll released Tuesday.

Bishop England (15-1, 7-0 Region VI) moves to No. 1 after spending nine weeks in the No. 2 slot. Since the last SCBCA poll was released earlier this month, the Lady Bishops have reeled off five straight wins, three in region, by an average margin of 57 points.

Former No. 1 Fairfield Central tumbled down to No. 3 after falling 34-30 to Columbia Jan. 10 at home.

Wando (15-3, 2-0 Region VII) moved up one spot to No. 3 in boys Class 4A. But hours after the poll was released, the Warriors knocked off No. 1 Goose Creek 74-40 at home.

Wando has won three games since the last SCBCA poll by an average margin of 29 points. The Warriors jumped Gaffney, and slid up a spot behind Irmo. Hillcrest fell down from No. 2 to No. 6 with a 69-67 loss at Woodmont Jan. 17.
