The Bishop England Lady Bishops sit atop Class 2A basketball, while the Wando boys rose another spot in Class 4A, according to the latest S.C. Basketball Coaches Association polls released Monday.

Bishop England (16-1, 8-0 Region VI) remains No. 1 after sliding into the top spot in last week's poll. Since the Jan. 7 poll that last listed Bishop England No. 2, the Lady Bishops have reeled off six straight wins, four in Region VI, by an average margin of 53 points.

The Lady Bishops' conference mate Battery Creek showed up on the polls for the first time this season at No. 10.

Wando (16-3, 3-0 Region VII) moved up one spot to No. 2 in boys Class 4A after dethroning former No. 1 Goose Creek and knocking off Stratford at home last week. The Warriors won the two region games by average of 30 points, including a 34-point dismantling of Goose Creek.

With the loss, Goose Creek tumbles down to No. 5. Irmo takes over the top spot, having not lost a game since late November.
