What is The Harbor Accelerator?

The Harbor Accelerator is a business accelerator program designed for entrepreneurs. Co-founders John Osborne and Patrick Bryant launched the non-profit initiative in September 2013. Its mission is to provide promising entrepreneurs the resources and support needed to grow quickly, test the market quickly, and become viable.

With the vision of building scale-able businesses for the Charleston region, The Harbor Accelerator has selected a cohort of 8 start-up companies, out of 160 applicants, to participate in its intense 14-week mentorship program. The start-ups began the program January 2nd and are continuing through April 10th. During this time these young companies are being introduced to high-impact business concepts by 24 proven entrepreneur mentors. Each member of the cohort has been strategically paired with a mentor team that is providing critical guidance throughout the 14-week program. The cohort has also been connected to experts specializing in the various aspects of business ranging anywhere from accounting to systems engineering.

These start-ups will be pitching for investment Dig South Wild Pitch event on April 10th. For more information about the event visit http://www.digsouth.com/event/wild-pitch/.

This press release is intended to introduce the 8 start-ups who have been selected as the first cohort.
