Reptiles visit Mount Pleasant Academy

On Jan. 15 the students of Mount Pleasant Academy were treated to a special visit by reptile expert, Roark Ferguson. Ferguson showed the students tarantulas, boa constrictors and a baby alligator and taught them about the importance of arachnids and reptiles to the overall food chain. The program was funded by MPA’s Green Committee, which earns money through drink pouch and chip bag recycling in the school’s cafeteria. PHOTOS PROVIDED
