Charleston’s first Yoga Festival kicks off Bridge Run weekend

If a night of yoga and live music sounds like your kind of fun, attend the inaugural YOGAPOP on Thursday, April 3. Yoga and music lovers alike with be inspired and delighted by this special Cooper River Bridge Run edition of YOGAPOP.

The night kicks off with a one-hour, all levels yoga class taught by local yoga teacher extraordinaire, Bethany Bubenzer. She'll teach alongside the fresh grooves of DJ Moo Moo, who will be featuring music from the 24 bands performing along the Cooper River Bridge Run race route.

Roll up your mat at the end of class and hit the Yoga Village, where you can grab a bite, cocktails, and mingle. Prepare to be entertained with a live yoga performance by Flight of the Phoenix, followed by live electro-pop tunes from Lectra Lust.

This event benefits This Is Noteworthy, the Charleston-based non-profit responsibly for curating the 24 bands performing at the Cooper River Bridge Run, as well as the Olive Tree Yoga Foundation, a cause near & dear to Bethany Bubenzer's heart.

YOGAPOP is for everyone: first time yoga students, advanced practitioners, locals and visitors. Everyone can get their downward dog on and groove to the beat.

Tickets are $25 advance, $30 door (if available). Space is limited. Get your tickets at YogaPop.org starting February 1, 2014.
