Bill Hogan Lizzie Wilson (32) drives past a Holly Hill defender Friday. Wilson scored 20 points through two wins for Palmetto Christian last week.

The Palmetto Christian Lady Eagles avenged an early-season loss and kept pace in Region II last week with a win over Holly Hill at home and another at Calhoun Academy in back-to-back nights.

Holly Hill dealt Palmetto Christian an early conference loss in mid-January to slide into second place in Region II. Palmetto Christian (10-10, 5-2) returned the favor Friday with a 46-40 win at home to even the season series and move into second place, tied with Holly Hill.

Corey Caulder led the Lady Eagles with 20 points, with seven rebounds and three steals. Annie Pascutti turned in a double-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds, while Lizzie Wilson added eight points, six rebounds.

Palmetto Christian trailed by five after the first quarter but allowed Holly Hill just 10 points through the second and third quarter to open a seven-point lead headed into the fourth.

The Lady Eagles completed the season sweep of Calhoun Academy Saturday with a 45-35 win in St. Matthews.

Caulder poured in 27 points with six steals, and Wilson added 12.

Palmetto Christian struggled in foul trouble early, while Calhoun built an eight-point lead through the first half. Caulder warmed up after halftime with 16 point in the second half. The Lady Eagles trimmed the deficit down to one point by the fourth quarter and went on to hold Calhoun to just a single point in the final frame while they sealed the win.
