The Isle of Palms Exchange Club held their annual oyster roast and silent auction on Jan. 25. Approximately 350 people enjoyed oysters, chili, and hot dogs on the patio with the sun setting over beautiful Hamlin Creek. Local DJ, Eddie Lukow, of Mobile Boogie provided the music. Generous businesses donated items for the silent auction and raffle. Proceeds from the oyster roast support the IOP Exchange student scholarship program. Scholarships are awarded to local high school seniors and current college students. These students and their parents will be recognized at the Student Scholarship dinner on April 24, 2014. Last year the Isle Of Palms Exchange Club awarded over $10,000 worth of student scholarships.

Current officers are President Patrick Harrington, President Elect Pamela Marsh, Secretary Elizabeth Grantham and Treasurer Tom Donohoe. Contact any of the officers or www.iopexchange.org for information on applying for the scholarships or joining the Club.
