Plans underway for Old Village home, garden and art tour

Shannon Wood’s oil painting of the historical Hibben House has been selected as the official image of the McAlister Development Home, Garden and Art Tour in the Old Village.


Plans are underway for everyone's Springtime favorite event in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant. The McAlister Development Home, Garden and Art Tour in the Old Village has been scheduled for Sunday, April 13, 1 – 5 p.m. with proceeds benefiting the American Red Cross.

There will be six homes on the self-guided tour this year including the historical Hibben House. There will also be delicious food samples in kitchens and patios prepared by local chefs as well as plein air artist and featured artwork for sale.

Tickets are $35 through March 15th, $45 thereafter. Tickets are $35 for groups of 10 or more. Tickets can be purchased online at RedCross.org/CarolinaLowcountry or by emailing Roberta.Freer@RedCross.org

American Red Cross:

With support from the community, Red Cross has been able to help more than 2,800 people affected by disasters in the Palmetto SC region since July 1, 2013. On average, the American Red Cross, Palmetto SC Region responds to a disaster every 6.5 hours. The Palmetto SC Region is made up of seven Red Cross chapters spanning 35-counties of South Carolina.
