Charleston Youth Marathon

Cario Middle School drama students participated in the fourth Annual Charleston Youth Marathon, held at Burke High School. Throughout first semester, Joni McLeod, Cario drama teacher and her drama students logged miles as part of the Charleston Youth Marathon program designed to support health and fitness in our youth and to help raise funds to support fine arts programs in Charleston County School District schools. This school year, Youth Endowment for the Arts (YEA), the charity associated with the Charleston Marathon awarded a $2000 grant in support of Cario Middle School’s fully-staged musical production of Willy Wonka, Jr., recently presented at the Wando Performing Arts Center (Wando PAC).
