Bishop England snapped a four-game skid Wednesday with a 50-46 road win over North Charleston.

Defense cleared the way for the Bishops' lowest-scoring win of the season. Bishop England allowed North Charleston just 13 points through the first half, while they opened a 13-point lead by halftime.

North Charleston outscored Bishop England in both the third and fourth quarters but couldn't trim but couldn't erase the early deficit quick enough to keep the Bishops from completing the season sweep.

Dillon Corbett led Bishop England with a game-high 16 points that T.J. Levine matched for North Charleston. B.J Grevey added 10 points and Ben Carico eight for Bishop England.

The win keeps Bishop England (10-11, 6-5) in third place in Region VI along with Garrett, who the Bishops already defeated once this season. Bishop England tips off at Garrett for game two of the season series Friday at 8 p.m.

Lady Bishops growing even stronger

The Bishop England Lady Bishops turned in their most dominating win of the season Wednesday in a 99-12 win at North Charleston.

Eran Artigues and Erin Rose both scored 16 points for Bishop England to lead all scorers. Artigues connected on 3-4 from three, while Rose shot 8-9 from the floor.

Michele Boykin added 13 points, six steals, and Mary Harriet Moore turned in 10 points.

Bishop England (19-1, 11-0) jumped out to a 33-2 lead in the first quarter and coasted to the win with 15 players scoring at least two points. North Charleston didn't score more than four points in any quarter. Porsha Thompson scored 10 of North Charleston's 12.
