The Art Institute of Charleston, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta, was recently honored as one of Military Advanced Education Magazine's Top Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities for 2014. The list of military-friendly schools was published in the magazine's December 2013 issue.
Schools were included based on their student support and reintegration services, campus military culture and flexibility, including online courses and acceptance of transfer credits, as well as their financial assistance opportunities.
“The Art Institute of Charleston is proud to provide industry-relevant programs that help our service people and veterans to begin a new civilian career,” said Todd Cunningham, president of The Art Institute of Charleston. “Our staff and instructors help military personnel to transition back into the classroom where they're trained to become tomorrow's leaders in the creative community.”
The Art Institute of Charleston is uniquely suited to serve the needs of members of our nation's military. The school provides a broad array of programs for active-duty service members, reservists, veterans, military spouses and families. Programs may be taken onsite or online, providing additional flexibility for military personnel who may be sent overseas during a course of study.
