The Patriots of the Lowcounty recently raised more than $28,000 during its third annual golf tournament held at Dunes West Golf Club this past fall. PROVIDED

Patriots of the Lowcountry, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting veterans and their families, will be holding its first annual gala on March 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Harbour Club, located at 35 Prioleau St., Charleston, S.C.

Tickets are $125 each, with corporate sponsorship packages beginning at $1,500 still available as well as opportunities to sponsor a Wounded Warrior and spouse for the event. Current corporate sponsors include Wells Fargo Advisors, The Beach Company, Harbor National Bank, IPW Construction and Roper St. Francis Hospital.

The evening's theme is “Salute the Troops” and the event features a three course meal, live music, and live and silent auctions benefiting Patriots of the Lowcountry. Miss South Carolina Brooke Mosteller will be on hand to sing the national anthem and The Citadel Color Guard will participate in the evening's opening ceremonies.

Patriots of the Lowcountry was founded four years ago to raise funds supporting local and national organizations that assist veterans and their families and raise awareness for veterans' causes.

Patriots of the Lowcountry also works alongside the Semper Fi Fund, the Wounded Warrior Project, and the local VA hospital, and are currently raising money to establish a new VA house for veterans who are receiving treatment locally.

Robyn Paul, Patriots of the Lowcountry team member and daughter of a veteran, said, “I am so proud to be a part of this organization. With community awareness, we can truly do great things for those veterans that deserve our support.”

In their most recent charity effort, Patriots of the Lowcountry raised more than $28,000 during its third annual golf tournament held at Dunes West Golf Club this past fall.

All profits raised through Patriots of the Lowcountry go directly to wounded veterans.
