Charleston Jazz Orchestra opens 6th season

Charleston Jazz Orchestra (CJO), Charleston's own resident big band, swings into its 6th anniversary season on Saturday, Feb. 22, presenting “Such Sweet Strayhorn,” celebrating the music of legendary composer and pianist, Billy Strayhorn. CJO presents at the band's “House of Swing,” the Charleston Music Hall, downtown Charleston at 37 John St. Two sets will be performed, 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., with no intermission. Adult tickets are $30-$45. Senior tickets are $25-$40. Seniors qualify at 65 years old. Student ticket rates vary. All student and discounted tickets must be purchased in person. On-site box office sales the day of the show begin at noon at the Charleston Music Hall. Tickets are available online at CharlestonJazz.com and by telephone, 843-641-0011.
