Lady Eagles fall to Richard Winn

PCA junior Corey Caulder turned in another huge game with 31 points in the Lady Eaglesí loss to Richard Winn Monday.

The Palmetto Christian Lady Eagles suffered a 57-44 season-ending loss to Richard Winn Academy in the second round of the SCISA Class AA playoffs Monday at the Civic Center in Sumter.

Corey Caulder led Palmetto Christian (16-13) with 31 points to go with six rebounds and three steals. Annie Pascutti added six points and gathered 15 rebounds.

No. 1 seeded Richard Winn (25-1) scored 31 points through the first half, but Palmetto Christian managed to stay close, trailing by just eight at halftime.

Palmetto Christian loses just one senior, Lizzie Wilson, from a team that won seven games in region play and the SCISA Class 2A Region II tournament. Caulder and Pascutti will return as seniors, after averaging more than 30 points and 15 rebounds this season.
