Lt. Col. Raymond Marsh Jr., USA, Retired, died February 23, at his home in Mount Pleasant, S.C. He was 90 years old.

He was the son of the late Col. Raymond Marsh, USA, and Miriam Parran Marsh. His devoted wife Beth, two daughters, Cynthia and Elizabeth, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren survive him.

He graduated from the Citadel in 1949 as a veteran student, later obtaining a master's degree in Personnel Management from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He made his career in the Regular Army, retiring after 25 years, followed by 10 years in the Civil Service, working for the Army Storage Activity in Charleston, S.C. He fulfilled a lifelong dream by retiring in Charleston.

He was a committed Christian, devoted husband, loving father and a faithful friend to many. He was never too busy to help anyone in need and was always happy to share his hospitality with friends and family.

A memorial service was held Saturday, March 1 at Christ Church, Mount Pleasant, S.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Church, 2304 Highway 17 North, Mount Pleasant, S.C. 29466.
