Active Outdoor Expo offers variety of activities

The Lowcountry Active Outdoor Expo takes place Sunday, March 30 at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park METRO CREATIVE CONNECTION

Get out there and get active with the inaugural Lowcountry Active Outdoors Expo taking place on Sunday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park will be filled with exhibitors from all over the Southeast offering attendees the opportunity to try out any outdoor sport or activity they can imagine, including kayaking, surfing, sailing, golf, skate boarding, running, cycling, fishing and much, much more.

Golf pros and fishing guides will be on hand all day conducting live demonstrations and offering advice.

The event will also include reptile and animal exhibits as well as a door prize and online auction.

The event is free to the public and a portion of the money raised will benefit the Southeastern Wildlife and Environmental Education Association (SEWEE) which is a nonprofit organization established to help support coastal wildlife refuges and natural forests as well as further wildlife education throughout the area.

SEWEE is currently working to assist with the Cape Romain Wildlife Refuge and preserving the Francis Marion Forest.

For $25 guests can attend the Stella Artois Cidre Blues Brunch featuring an omelet station and full brunch.

Musical guests Big Daddy Cade and the Boogie Chillin' will perform at the brunch from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
