Charleston has become an ever-growing melting pot of inspired artisans, foodies, fashionistas and the latest yogis. Yoga and Charleston seem to go together like your favorite cliché duos. This is why Chelsea Atilla, of Sola Yoga LLC, has partnered up with Natalie Halt, of Gather Yoga, to showcase the potential for community events in Charleston.
Body: Their first event of the season will be Sunday, March 16, in Cannon Park, to celebrate one full week of Daylight Savings Time. The festivities will begin at 3 p.m. with live music from Charleston’s own DJ Jake Butler. Chelsea will lead yogis in a 60-minute Vinyasa flow yoga class followed with bites provided from some of Charleston’s favorites: Verde and King of Pops. Cannon Park is located at 131 Rutledge Ave, Charleston, S.C. A $10 donation to those involved is asked in exchange for a beautiful Sunday afternoon of yoga, music, community and sunshine. Please arrive early. Parking is limited, carpool or bike if possible.
Chelsea Atilla founded Sola Yoga LLC this year and is Charleston’s latest stop for popup and community yoga around the city. Natalie Halt, founder of www.GatherYoga.com, has put together a beautiful online yoga community for people around the world to connect, grow and share all that is yoga. The two companies similar ideas and parallel love for gathering in yoga’s name made this collaboration effortless.
