Coastal Christian defeated Christian Academy twice Friday in a double-header matchup in Myrtle Beach.
Seth White and Connor Barrett combined to strike out 20 batters with no earned runs through the two games, both picking up the wins for Coastal.
Coastal Christian 3, Christian Academy 0
White gave up two hits and one walk while striking out 12 through five innings in the opening game.
Coastal took a two-run lead in the top of the first with sacrifice RBIs from Connor Barrett and Xan Costas. Cory McDonald stretched the lead in the second with a RBI single to center field to score T.J. Bott.
Christian loaded the bases in the second before White ended the inning with back-to-back strikeouts.
Other than the second inning, White was perfect without a hit or a walk.
McDonald finished 3-3 with an RBI and run scored. Costas 1-2 with an RBI and Bott 1-2 with a run scored.
Coastal Christian 6, Christian Academy 4
Barrett picked up the win for Coastal in game two, striking out eight with no hits, and three walks through three innings.
McDonald scored off an infield error in the bottom of the first before Barrett brought home White with a single to left-center.
McDonald sparked a four-run rally for Coastal in the second inning with a two-run double to left field. Costas added two more with a two-out, two-run single.
Christian rang up four runs off three walks and two doubles in the top of the fifth before McDonald finished the game with a strikeout.
McDonald finished at 2-2 with two RBIs, Costas 1-2 with two RBIs, and Barrett finished 1-3 with an RBI.
Coastal (3-1) returns home Friday to host the Lowcountry Wildcats.
