The Wando High School “Bella Voce” Choir performed at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Convention in Jacksonville, Fla.
Many choir programs apply but never get accepted to perform for ACDA. The performance took place on March 7 in the beautiful Jacoby Symphony Hall in downtown Jacksonville.
Wando Bella Voce was selected out of more than a hundred choirs from an 11-state region in the southeast. There were 16 other choirs performing at the convention representing the best middle school, high school and college choir programs. Wando was the only high school women's choir to perform at this event as well as the only high school choir from South Carolina to perform at the ACDA event.
“This will truly be an amazing experience for our students. This performance invitation has been a personal goal of mine for our choir program for many years,” said Eric Wilkinson, M.M., NBCT, choir director at Wando High School. “I am very proud of their work!”
