Boating safety course April 12

On Saturday, April 12, the Charleston Sail and Power Squadron will offer to the public a basic training class known as “America's Boating Course.” It is approved by the S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and students who pass the final exam will receive a DNR Boater Education Certificate.

The course is free for ages 12 to 18. Adults pay a nominal fee that covers the cost of course materials. The day-long class will be taught at the CSPS Headquarters at 1376 Orange Grove Road in West Ashley.
