On Vacation with the Moultrie News - Praslins, St. Lucia, West Indies

  • Thursday, April 3, 2014

Gary and Mardrie Brown of Mount Pleasant recently shared their favorite newspaper with Stephen Lesmond from the community of Praslins, St. Lucia, West Indies. Stephen was kind enough to guide the Browns into the St. Lucian rainforest. Along the way, a very large tarantula and many species of birds were observed, including the national bird, a St. Lucia parrot. The Browns stayed at Ladera, just outside the village of Soufriere. Other activities enjoyed while in St. Lucia were a deep sea fishing trip, several dives with Chester Nathanial, a local divemaster, an activity hot spring and mud bath, and some of the most incredible dining including grilled barracuda and sauteed lionfish.
