Just wants to talk - Weekend Blotter

  • Friday, April 4, 2014

A woman’s ex-boyfriend allegedly won’t leave her alone and caused her to report the harassment to police recently. She said that they have been broken up for more than five months and she is now happily married. She informed police that she told the ex-boyfriend not to contact her, but he had been calling from unknown numbers. He left a voicemail that said he knew her husband was out of town and would be back the next day and that all he wanted to do was talk, the report said.

She said she had not answered any of his calls and does not want to talk to him.

She told the officer that the reason he keeps calling is that she has three rings that he gave her.

She explained that the rings were gifts given to her when they were together.

Police spoke to the man and explained that he should not call the woman anymore and that the rings legally belong to his ex-girlfriend because they were given as gifts. He told the officer he understood and would leave her alone.
