Dodger Runs 5K and Festivities for the Cure is a fun event for both Fido and the family to support an important cause. Come celebrate life, raise awareness and help battle canine cancer. Running or walking with your canine friend is encouraged, but certainly not required.
Also, you can bring your pooch to enjoy the festivities and contests without participating in the races. Canine Cancer Care Inc. co-founder Dr. Amanda Cunningham, DVM said, “Time to cherish our beloved friends, remember those we have lost, and honor our cancer survivors. We are passionate about having a significant impact on cancer, so we would love to see you at our event ‘For the Cure.’”
The fun will kick off on April 26 at the beautiful James Island County Park (Stono Shelter) in Charleston, S.C. at 9 a.m. and the festivities wrap up at 3 p.m.
“We have a lot of entertainment and education planned for both participants and spectators to enjoy. Our team is ecstatic. We just can’t wait for the fun,” said race director David Cunningham.
Participant registration is available through Active.com, at the website www.caninecancercare.org, and via social media at www.facebook.com/caninecancercare. Only a few more weeks to reserve a spot, so sign up soon.
