Saturday, May 3, from 1-4 p.m. at the Isle of Palms Recreation Center, This Mountain Fever recording artist “Sweet Potato Pie” will be performing on the lawn at the Recreation Center. They have been entertaining audiences for more than a decade with their classy blend of bluegrass, country and gospel music mixed together in a style called “sweet grass.” This is an all-female band that has carved out a place for themselves among the bluegrass community with their original toe-tapping tunes, old classics and entertaining state shows. Their unique sound revolves around their sparkling three-part harmonies. You'll hear driving instrumentals and classic songs from Patsy Cline, Bill Monroe, the Judds and many more.
Long Island Cafe will have food available throughout the day. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an afternoon of good music.
In the event of inclement weather, Sweet Potato Pie will perform in the Recreation Building.
This is a free event.
