Freshman right-hander Alyssa Heinrich stole the show on senior night Thursday, leading Wando to an 11-1 home win over Bishop England.

Heinrich earned her 100th career strikeout in the third inning, picking up 11 total on the night. She allowed just one earned run off three hits with no walks through five innings in the Warriors' regular-season finale.

Wando (15-8) entered the bottom of the fifth with a nine-run lead, needing just one run to end the game. Monica Schindwolf delivered the win on the third pitch she saw with a single to score Morgan Howard. Schindwolf and Howard both finished 2 for 3 with three RBIs to lead Wando at the plate. Howard added two runs scored.

Bishop England walked five batters in the first inning to help Wando to five runs. The Bishops walked the first four straight. Howard reached off an outfield error while Heinrich scored. Brooke Gilbert singled to score Kayla Bannister. Sydney Segars was walked home and Howard scored off a fielder's choice.

Elena Salmorin sparked Bishop England in the top of the third with a two-out single. Salmorin stole second to move into scoring position for Eran Artigues who drove her home with an RBI single. Artigues led the Lady Bishops offense, hitting 2 for 2 with one RBI.

Wando responded with four runs in the bottom frame to open a 10-1 lead. The Warriors scored twice off walks before Schindwolf hit a two-out, two-run single to score Abbie Ryder and Casey Morrison.

Bishop England closes out its regular season slate Monday at home against Academic Magnet. Wando hosts Beaufort Thursday in the opening round of the Class AAAA playoffs.
