LifeManagement Center (LMC) will host the Bravo Awards Gala to recognize outstanding volunteer work and dedication to its mission on Friday, May 9, at The Wickliffe House, 178 Ashley Ave., beginning at 6:30 p.m.
“This event will help us raise the necessary funds to support the educational programs and services of LMC,” says Mason Ward, executive director. “As we thank a few of our long-standing volunteers with a Bravo Award, we will also be asking for help to enable LMC to continue to turn educational struggles into life achievements for children and adults.”
Recipients of the 2014 Bravo Awards are Georgia Darby, Dubose Egleston and Rhondy Huff (in memoriam). The evening will include dining, dancing and silent/live auctions. Tickets are $100.
Founded in 1996, LifeManagement Center is a nonprofit organization helping children and adults with learning and attention challenges, including ADHD, learning disabilities, dyslexia, reading problems and underachievement. Services include educational consultations, tutoring, and educational and life coaching, plus literacy programs in public schools. Many of LMC's outreach programs are funded by supporters and made available to participants free of charge. In addition, LMC has scholarships available to make fee-for-service programs accessible regardless of financial status. LifeManagement Center is the only program of its kind in South Carolina.
