  • Monday, April 28, 2014

Local author Mary “Bitsy” Foster will attend the Daniel Island Rivers Landing Book Club meeting May 8 at 7 p.m. She will be speaking about her new book, “Legendary Locals of Charleston,” which tells the history of Charleston through the lives of its people from the time of its settlement in 1670. It includes the people the streets and buildings are named for as well as the quirky characters who made life interesting and the heroes who stepped up to save the day.

Those who purchase a copy of the book can have it signed by the author.
