Palmetto Christian gets past Coastal

Palmetto Christian girls soccer defeated Coastal Christian, 2-1, on the road Monday.

Eighth-grader Emma Patrick put Palmetto Christian on top in the 36th minute off an assist from Taylor Cristo.

Patrick set up Kennedy Jordahl in the 63rd minute to open a two-goal lead for the Lady Eagles.

Paige Laycock broke the shutout in the 66th minute.

Palmetto Christian (6-5) travels to Charleston Collegiate Friday. A win secures at least second place in SCISA A Region IV headed into the playoffs next week.
