Vehicle pursuit ends in Berkeley County - suspect car abandoned

According to Inspector Chip Googe, Public Information Officer/Accreditation Manager with the Mount Pleasant Police Department at approximately 10:26 a.m. today, a Mount Pleasant Police Officer attempted to stop a vehicle for reckless driving on Highway 17 near Oakland Market when the vehicle evaded the officer.

In a memo to the media, Good said a vehicle pursuit ensued along Highway 17 onto Highway 41 into Berkeley County where the pursuit was terminated.

The suspect vehicle was located on Green Bay Rd. in Berkeley County unoccupied. An investigation to determine the identification of the driver is ongoing.
