Awendaw campus bird walks

  • Friday, May 2, 2014

Painted Buntings, Indigo Buntings, Wood Storks and Roseate Spoonbill... what do these things have in common? At certain times of year, you can see these exciting birding treats on the Center for Birds of Prey's campus in Awendaw.

On May 2, 9, 30 and June 6, the center will offer special bird walks from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in search of native and migratory species. These walks will be led by a professional educator, so experience is not necessary. Tickets are $25 per attendee and includes access to the center's campus, and bird of prey tours and flight demonstrations.

Space is limited to 15 participants and reservations are required. Tickets can be purchased online at the center's website, www.thecenterforbirdsofprey.org.
