PCA golf takes third at state

Provided PCA golf finished third at last week's state championship tournament in Conway.

Palmetto Christian Academy golf placed third in the SCISA Class AA state championship tournament last week at Hackler Golf Course in Conway.

Palmetto Christian shot a 664, 10 strokes off second place Spartanburg Christian. Oakbrook Academy shot a 639 to take home the state championship.

Chris DeMarco led the Eagles, shooting a 152, the second lowest two-day score of the tournament. Ethan Willis followed with a 158. DeMarco and Willis were named all-region. DeMarco, a junior, was also an all-state selection for the second consecutive season.

Kenton Holden shot a 175, Trey Goolsby a 186 and Chase Shimakonis a 189 to round out the Eagles.
