On Friday, May 9, LifeManagement Center (LMC) will host the 2014 Bravo Awards Gala, an event recognizing the outstanding volunteer service of three community leaders: Georgia Darby, DuBuose Egleston and Rhondy Huff (in memoriam). The event will honor these volunteers and raise money for one of the most at-risk groups in our community: children and adults who are diagnosed with learning disabilities (LD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The money raised will have a lasting impact on the students, families and schools served by LMC, a nonprofit educational and tutoring organization with locations in Charleston, Mount Pleasant and Summerville.
“We are delighted to honor these three individuals who have worked tirelessly over the years to support the programs and services of LifeManagement,” said Jules Anderson, president of the LMC Board of Directors. “This organization is helping students and their families identify and overcome learning challenges to achieve success in school and in life.”
The event will be held on Friday, May 9, from 6:30-10:30pm at The Wickliffe House, 178 Ashley Ave., and will feature heavy hors d'oeuvres from Mediterra Catering, a live and silent auction, open bar and entertainment by The Distinguished Gentlemen. The live auction will feature Tom Crawford as auctioneer who will offer guests the chance to win a trip to Africa, wine tastings in Napa Valley, a vacation in a beautiful Isle of Palms home, dinners and hotel accommodations at The William Aiken House and other local hotels, and much more. Tickets are $100 per person and are available by calling 843-852-5705 or by visiting the LMC website ticket link at www.lifemanagement.org/bravo-awards.
