Cario Middle School Drama students recently received recognition and awards at Charleston County’s Earth Day on April 26, held at River Front Park. Sixth-grader Ryan Harding placed second in the Charleston County Recycling Video Contest with his video, “Butterfly Effect.” Logan Frailey, JT Hendrix, Harrison Paul, Andrew Lemon, David Kenis and Jacob Little won

third place for their video, “Recycle Rap.” These students received monetary awards for their winning submissions.

Cario Drama students created original videos, under the direction of Mrs. Joni McLeod, Cario drama teacher, as part of the regular drama curriculum during third quarter.

Currently, Cario drama students are preparing for the upcoming school-wide arts festival, Cario Carnivale, held at the end of each school year.
