Police Blotter - Hammer Time

  • Monday, June 2, 2014

Police were called to a home where a man was trying to move back in with his wife. According to the report, the couple had been separated since 2007 and he has been living in another town.

He said they have both been seeing other people and felt it was time to get a divorce. In addition, he said his wife has been living in the home his mother owns and he wants her to move out so he can move in with his new girlfriend.

According to the report, the wife said she was not going to move out because she lives there with her two sons.

The husband said he already put in his two weeks notice and was moving back.

But, he was reminded by officers that the wife has a legal right to reside there until he properly evicts here.

Hammer time

A couple got into an argument while at a local school, a police report said. The husband then left the school to go back home and the wife allegedly followed him.

He called police after witnessing her get a hammer and break the window of his vehicle, the report said.

According to the report, the couple was “arguing about the same stuff they’ve been arguing about since they got married.”

Because the couple is not divorced, the car is considered marital assets until the divorce is finalized.
