Daniel Island Duck Race SUP Paddleboard event

The Rotary Club of Daniel Island is pleased to announce that during this, the eighth year of the Rotary Club of Daniel Island Duck Race, they are adding a Stand-Up (SUP) Paddleboard race on the morning of the Duck drop.

The race will begin at 8 a.m. on June 14. Walk-up registration opens at 7 a.m. Pre-registration is $20 and includes two duck adoptions for the Charleston Duck Race. Registration increases to $30 on the day of the race.

The event will take place at Daniel Island Waterfront Park and will feature two courses: one shorter course for the novice and a longer, more challenging course for the experienced. There will be prizes for the winners in each of the four age groups. Board rentals will be available for $10 on a “first come, first served” basis.

A “How to SUP Basics” clinic will be held Friday evening before the race at the “Sundown on the Wando” Festival.
