The Rotary Club of Daniel Island is pleased to announce that during this, the eighth year of the Rotary Club of Daniel Island Duck Race, they are adding a Stand-Up (SUP) Paddleboard race on the morning of the Duck drop.
The race will begin at 8 a.m. on June 14. Walk-up registration opens at 7 a.m. Pre-registration is $20 and includes two duck adoptions for the Charleston Duck Race. Registration increases to $30 on the day of the race.
The event will take place at Daniel Island Waterfront Park and will feature two courses: one shorter course for the novice and a longer, more challenging course for the experienced. There will be prizes for the winners in each of the four age groups. Board rentals will be available for $10 on a “first come, first served” basis.
A “How to SUP Basics” clinic will be held Friday evening before the race at the “Sundown on the Wando” Festival.
Pre-registration is available online at www.charlestonduckrace.com.
